Charlotte attended the Fertility Show in Manchester on March 23rd to assist the British Acupuncture Council on their stand. Here are some of her observations from the day.
It was lovely to meet up with clients and colleagues a couple of weeks ago at the Fertility Show in Manchester. There was a lot of interest in acupuncture for fertility support and many of the visitors were already aware of some of the benefits of having acupuncture for fertility support.
I was surprised how little people knew about the lack of regulation around acupuncture though, and I spent a lot of my day explaining how to check that someone is suitably trained and qualified to undertake acupuncture treatment. The British Acupuncture Council were also able to provide details of how to find a trained acupuncturist.
The day also offered me a good opportunity to talk to the IVF clinics in the Manchester area, and it was encouraging to see that many of them now actively promote acupuncture to their patients.
